In the future, should my photos gain wild and uncontrollable popularity I may rename this space ‘Close to Home Photography’ because that phrase captures perfectly my way of life; the homebody. But for now my namesake will suffice as photography is simply my favorite hobby. I enjoy taking photographs and fancy the challenge of getting better at it.

By design, my life revolves around my two crazy, but very cherished, German Shorthaired Pointers. They are an endless source of joy and mayhem, dirt and dog hair. They are my favorite models as well as the reason I rarely take vacations and don’t wander too far from home. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

My photography reflects the simple things in my life that give me joy. So should you like images of front yard perennial gardens, flowers, sunflowers, plants, German Shorthaired Pointers, dogs, cocktails after a 40 hour work week, wildlife, farm animals, local community events and the Vermont landscape – you are in the right place.
